TriMark USA Names Colin Smith as Interim Chief Operating Officer

Mansfield, MA - July 10, 2024

In a demonstration of commitment to partnership by Oaktree Capital and Ares Management, Colin Smith, currently a Managing Director at Oaktree, will assume interim COO responsibilities at TriMark USA. In this role, Colin will be a key part of TriMark’s Leadership team and will work closely with and report to CEO Tom Wienclaw in support of the business transformation process.

Colin leads Oaktree’s Portfolio Transformation Team (PTT), a team of operating executives specializing in due diligence and large-scale value creation programs, including turnarounds. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of Proserv, Neovia Logistics, and TriMark USA. During his tenure with Oaktree, he has served in several interim management positions across their portfolio companies, including Chief Transformation Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Senior Vice President of Operations.

As part of the Executive Leadership Team, Colin will drive and implement operational strategies, align both short- and long-term objectives, and help set the organizational vision. Colin will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day performance of the regions, divisions, supply chain and pricing. Mike Siegel, Adam Holmes, Danny Austin and Kevin Connor will report to Colin.

Colin earned his B.A. with honors in applied economics from Queen’s University, and an M.B.A. in operations and strategic management at the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.
